McMinn County 2020 : What’s New!

Categories: Uncategorized

Enrollment is open for the 2020 spring season! We have some changes for this year to tell you about. Let’s get started.

First, we are pleased to be offering our spring golf classes at Ridgewood Golf Club on FRIDAYS, starting March 13th. The season will run 8 consecutive weeks, skipping the week of McMinn Counties spring break. Second, we are introducing a family golf class this year! This is a fun opportunity for kids and their parents, grandparents, or aunts and uncles to get involved. The family class will follow our traditional junior golf classes on Friday’s as well. The Friday classes will include a 7-9-year-old class from 4:00-5:45 pm, 10 & older class from 4:00-5:45 pm, and family class from 6:00-7:30 pm. All classes are for boys and girls. The minimum age to participate is 7 years old.

As mentioned above, Ridgewood GC will host our spring First Tee classes. This is a change-up from Springbrook G&CC and we have intentions of being at Springbrook G&CC in the future.

Lastly, I want to mention our coaches for this season. The TGF is thrilled to have PGA Member and First Tee Master Coach, Kathleen McCarthy leading our programs this season. Kathleen has been the program director for the First Tee, Chattanooga for many years and will bring a lot of enthusiasm and structure to the program. You will also continue to see Coach Kelsey and Coach Ches.
